And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. No man can come unto me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. For as Jonas was a sign unto the ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. The men of Nineve shall rise up in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness  of me, that the Father hath sent me. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

If I bear of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. Ye sent unto John, and he bear witness unto the truth. But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bear witness of me. I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ  not risen: Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and we shall be changed.

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdon of heaven. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye shut up the kngdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. The kingdom of God cometh without observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here; or lo there; behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. For when they shall rise from the dead, the neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

No servant can serve two masters: for he will hate the one, and love the other; or elese he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant  knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and learned of the Father, cometh unto me. I have many things to say and judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me. I speak these things. But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandent, what I should say, and what I should speak. Let not not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder  of them that diligently seek him.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. My brethern, have not the  faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
